te rog să iei toată ninsoarea cu tine!

Fără tine nu ar mai fi la fel.

Eu am să rămân s-aștept viscolul nemilos

să-mi izbească inima

cu săgețile sale

Dacă pleci într-o zi de primăvară,

te rog să iei toți ghioceii cu tine!

Fără tine nu ar fi la fel de gingași.

Eu am să traversez noaptea vieții

călcându-mi în picioare

toate visurile

Dacă pleci într-o zi de vară,

te rog să iei tot soarele cu tine!

Fără tine lumina nu ar mai fi la fel,

iar eu aș fi doar o umbră

Dacă pleci într-o zi de toamnă,

te rog să iei toate păsările călătoare!

Fără tine cerul va fi prea înnorat

și n-am să-l pot privi

printre lacrimi

Dacă pleci n-o să întreb unde ești,

o să ascult ecoul inimii

până se așterne liniștea pe zăpadă

și ninsoarea de adio

îmi va acoperi urmele

please take all the snow with you!

I will stay behind, waiting for the merciless blizzard
to strike my heart
with its arrows.

If you leave on a spring morning,
please take all the snowdrops with you!
Without you, they wouldn’t be as delicate.
I will cross the night of life,
trampling
all my dreams beneath my feet.

If you leave on a summer day,
please take all the sunshine with you!
Without you, the light wouldn’t be the same,
and I would be just a shadow.

If you leave on an autumn afternoon,
please take all the migrating birds!
Without you, the sky will be too clouded,
and I won’t be able to look at it
through my tears.

If you leave, I won’t ask where you are,
I’ll listen to the echo of my heart
until silence settles over the snow,
and the farewell snowfall
will cover my footsteps.
